A Fire & acoustic intumescent sealant for linear joints. When untreated linear joints will be left vulnerable to fire and smoke, which will penetrate even the smallest of gaps, leading to the potential spread of fire and smoke throughout your building.
As part of Rockwool’s FirePro range of fire protection products, The Acoustic Intumescent Sealant, is an excellent solution for sealing joints and service gaps up to 50mm wide. The Rockwool Firepro Acoustic intumescent sealant can provide up to 4 hours of fire protection to the exposed joints (within the correct system) but not only that the sealant has a weighted sound reduction index of up to 57db, allowing acoustic goals to be satisfied.
