The Rockwool Firepro DuctRock Slab has two purposes within construction to provide thermal insulation to ductwork to reduce thermal transmission. But arguably, the most important role for the DuctRock slab is to provide up to 2-hours of fire protection (in the correct system, specified in the manufactures document) to ductworks henceforth, reducing the opportunity for the spread of fire throughout a building’s infrastructure. The DuckRock slab archives a Euroclass A1 reaction to fire and come in thicknesses of 60-90mm with black foil facing.
