The Knauf Safeboard is part of the Knauf high-performance range, designed to make life in construction easier. The Safeboard has a barium sulphate core offering resistance to x-rays, significantly reducing the need for lead in partitions. By reducing the need for lead in partitions it reduces the weight of the partitions as well as the health risk to installers. The Safeboard also reduces installation time, labour and wastage costs compared to the traditional lead system. When used in the correct system and coordinating to the full Knauf specification, the Safeboard can achieve up to 120 minutes of fire protection.
