The Icopal Monarfloor Acoustic Battens, consisting of a 15mm layer of LRAC foam type III bonded to a timber batten, are manufactured to reduce sound transmission through both timber and concrete floors. If the Acoustic Battern is correctly installed within the correct system, it will comply and meet the sound transmission regulations of Part E. The Monarfloor Acoustic Batten can either be laid foam side up or down at the correct centres, followed by tongue and grooved chipboard in a broken bond pattern with all joints glued.
